BIKE SHOW RULES

These rules are based more on common sense than convention and are intended to make classification of the bikes in the various categories, and the judging of the show as straightforward and fair as possible.

1. Bikes may be trailered to the event but must be fully functional. The owner may be asked to start and ride it.

2. All bikes to be entered in the Show can be registered, by completing a Bike Show entry form (which will be retained by the judges), between the hours of 11.00am and 5.00pm on Saturday 30th April and 11.00am and 2.00pm on Sunday 1st May. Once registered, bikes can be parked in the show area at any time during the Festival from 11.00 am Saturday morning but must be in the Show area for judging to take place.

3. Judging will take place at 2.00pm on Sunday. The winning bike in each class will have an Award Notice attached to it by the Judges.

4. All Class winning bikes must be moved to a location to be determined by the Festival organisers between 2.00pm and 3.00pm on Sunday for the award of prizes at 3.00pm. The owner of the bike must be present to receive their prize and may be requested to ride a lap of honour around the Display Arena.

5. The award for the best Club Stand will be given at the discretion of the BMAD Committee and will take into account innovation, tidiness, ease of access, availability of information and the level of commitment shown by the club members to their cause.

6. Each class winner in the Bike Show and the winner of the best club stand will be awarded a trophy and a cash prize of £100. The bike judged Best in Show, selected from the 6 Class Winners, will be awarded an additional trophy and a further cash prize of £150.

7. Prizes will be awarded according to the opinion of the Judges, whose decision will be final
