The Police Forces in the region are working together with Somerset Road Safety Partnership and the West Of England Road Safety Partnership in order to launch Bikesafe in the South West for 2008.
The event will take place on 12th and 13th April at the Haynes Motor Museum near Yeovil and will involve all emergency services, Local authorities, IAM, RoSPA and the independent motorcycle training sector (MRTA / DSA), together with local retailers.
The Message is that Further Rider Training post test can reduce the risk of involvement in serious or fatal incidents dramatically and also reduce Insurance premiums.
This event will enable motorcyclists to gather all the information about what is available in the area in which they live, attend presentations and have the opportunity for ride-outs with Police officers to understand the benefits and feel the difference. All the major manufacturers will be represented and demonstration machines available for test rides. There will also be advice on machine security.
“
